Today was the start of our tipster experiment, where I have taken a £200 bankroll to see what it could be turned into following a number of online tipsters.

Day 1 was an interesting day, I placed far more bets then I expected, arguably too many, but we still managed to come out in profit.

I won’t bore you with all the details, but I’ll give a breakdown of how the day went, with a little idea for the weekend as well!

So I started off having a scroll through a few of the tipsters who are on my list of potentials to follow (It’s a big list). I like to have a look through the @BettingKingdom platform. I’ve followed BKSnooker’s tips before on there before, and today he wrote a nice few paragraphs backing why he feels Maguire would beat Selby. It felt good enough for me and I stuck 2% of my bankroll on it, which will be my maximum stake. I watched the game, unfortunately, Selby was almost completely faultless and ended up winning 3-1.

Next stop I received a message from @Turnoffoot_, who has been trailing a new system through @Tipstrr, where he was picking horses in the place market. He invited me to follow the tips for today, and although the system is very, very new, I thought it would be worth a shot. Unfortunately one lost and the other was a non-runner. Again, it’s nothing to judge the system on yet as this it’s only 1 bet, so no real feedback or comments on that, and it’s one I am definitely keeping an eye on.

I’ve always been a follower of the #CommunityPunt, run by 3 well established Twitter tipsters: @TwoPoundPunt, @TGT_Tips and @HorseSystemBets. For this, they each post their NAP to put them together for the #CommunityPunt. You can then, really, do what you want with them. A lot of people go for a trixie or a treble for high returns, I opted for 3 singles using flat stakes. I noticed they have been in good form recently as well, so I was hoping this would continue into today, with selections at 10/3, 7/1 and 7/2. The first two couldn’t quite find the victory, however, @HorseSystemBets pick, Influent, won pretty comfortably and was a nice winner at 10/3, with a £4 stake.

I’ve always liked @Josh_HW work. Despite not being a tipster, he gives some excellent information and insight into his selections for the day. His free tip came in the 3:20 Bangor, with the pick being Tailor Tom. His write up looked promising to me, with the suggested price being 7/1. When I had a look, Tailor Tom had drifted out to 10/1, and I realised this was the best time to back him, as it was likely the price would come in closer to the off. He made us sweat, however, finished with ruthless speed to grab the win and a fantastic 10/1 winner with £2 on.

I took a punt on one @HackedUpRacing tip, as their content is excellent and I know a lot of work goes into it. Unfortunately, the one I choose to back today didn’t manage to win, however, I certainly will be following them regularly.

After monitoring @NicksPicks83 for a while now and seeing his impressive results on the dogs, I felt he would be a good tipster to include in this experiment. He runs two telegram channels, one with the main bets that count towards his P/L, and another, a ‘System bets’ page where the dogs are filtered using a specific system that he is trialling. I followed the main tips (where I could) with a £4 stake and the system bets with £2. Overall I came out with a very small loss, however, I look forward to following these tips for the future and seeing how they do for the bankroll!

Finally, @RossRigo. I really like how he makes his selections. He’s shown he can be profitable for a while now, with football tips being suggested at some good prices. I backed one of the two selections today, which unfortunately did not win. Again, though, this is someone who I will be looking to follow regularly.

This leaves us with our overall statistics for the day. With there being quite a mixture of results, the bankroll came out £10.34 in profit. I can’t grumble!

Overall Bankroll: £210.34

Profit/Loss: +£10.34

Just to let you all know, I’m planning some kind of giveaway for the weekend, so keep your eyes peeled. I’ll run it on Twitter and it will all relate to this experiment! Gives us something to look forward to!

See you tomorrow!
