What has Happened to ‘TheBetSmasher’

Some may remember him, others may not. However ‘TheBetSmasher’ was an in-play tipster who had both a free page and a premium page. He’d managed to build up a fair few members on there, although the majority not best pleased with what they were seeing. He relied hugely on backing at very short prices and even with this in mind didn’t have an impressive strike rate.

A few complaints later, he decided to start another scam, this time with the promise of making people money using matched betting. Everything about this seemed a bit shady to me, he claimed to have joined a syndicate group with 3 people who give him all the info he needs to make money. What he was asking for was £100, then once he has turned it into ‘a decent amount of money’ he will take 25% for doing all of the work and will then send back the rest. Again, sounds incredibly dodgy to me.

Unfortunately, a few people did get involved in this. Sometimes the thought of free money can be too much. I recently spoke to someone who did send him £100. He also showed me the conversation between himself and ‘TheBetSmasher’. During the conversation, he claims everything is completely risk free and he said he will be able to get him around £1000 a month back from his £100 ‘investment’. Something quite amusing, yet frustrating when the individual quite fairly asked what’s to stop him taking the £100 and running? ‘TheBetSmashers’ reply was this:

“The fact that I’m not a belled and I’ve been on here nearly two years with over 730 happy members, it’s upto you buddy”

Pretty much all of this turned out to be false. At the end of all of this when he had a few people signing up with the hope of easy cash, he deleted all of his accounts and took off with the money, leaving many people asking questions and hoping for his return, or at worst, their £100 back.

Where has he gone? I couldn’t tell you for sure, but my guess would be that he was losing people money on his VIP page and the pressure was all getting too much. He made up this matched betting scam to try and make a few more quid before making a quick exit never to be seen again. It’s a real shame nothing more can be done to people like this.

All I can say is, ESPECIALLY in the betting world. If it seems too good to be true, it almost certainly is. No one can guarantee you profit and whatever you do don’t trust some nameless tipster sitting behind their logo asking for your hard earned cash.

On a brighter note, it’s Friday and there are plenty of sports to bet on today, let’s have a look what’s on.

What’s On?

Horse Racing:

A nice few to get your teeth stuck into today, with afternoon meetings coming from Bath, Brighton and Haydock.

There are also evening meetings taking place at Worcester, Pontefract, Down Royal and Musselburgh.

Football

A few international friendlies this evening, including:

  • England vs Australia
  • Northern Ireland vs Belarus
  • Republic of Ireland vs Netherlands

Tennis

The French Open continues, Andy Murray is back in action up against Ivo Karlovic, if you fancy backing the Scotsman you’ll have to be prepared to put some money down at around 1/16. As short as this may be I’d imagine there are quite a few accumulators out there relying on his victory!

Other notable matches include:

  • Kei Nishikori vs Fernando Verdasco
  • Nick Kyrgios vs Richard Gasquet
  • Jeremy Chardy vs Stan Wawrinka

Cricket

The second test gets underway today where England take on Sri Lanka.

England go into this as huge favourites as Sri Lanka struggled facing England’s strong bowling attack. Will they manage to get a result this week?

Other games Include:

Natwest T20

  • Middlesex vs Hampshire
  • Lancashire vs Durham
  • Northamptonshire vs Derbyshire
  • Birmingham vs Worcestershire
  • Yorkshire vs Leicestershire

IPL

  • Gujarat Lions vs Sunrisers Hyderabad

Golf

Day 2 of the BMW PGA is in full swing (Pun intended) at Wentworth Golf Club. Masters winner Danny Willett is currently the favourite priced at 10/3 with BetVictor, he is sitting at 6 under par one shot off the lead. He has however got many top players such as, Luke Donald, Shane Lowry and Martin Kaymer who are not too far off the lead and will be ready to pounce should he make any mistakes. With plenty of golf left to play, this should be a cracking competition.

SPOTLIGHT ON – EURO 2016

With the Euros fast approaching, we have been searching around the internet for a detailed write up for you to take a look at. The Euros always present an excellent opportunity to get your money in good ante post if you can spend the time researching. After looking at a few write ups myself, I seem to have found a fantastic preview written by @AlmightyTips.

You’ve probably heard of the name before, he is a fantastic tipster who came second place in our latest tipster competition. The preview he has written is excellent. It goes into great detail and all flows very nicely. If you’re not into reading all of the preview and just want the tips, they can be found at the very beginning of the article, with some explanations below.

If you want to read this article yourself, you can find it right here – http://www.almightytips.com/Euro2016.html

On a final note, I hope you have a great Friday and fingers crossed you can make some money along the way!

All the best,

Chris
